Show Low Days Still Cruizin Car Show will be June the 6th, 7th and 8th 2008 at the Show Low City Park. Car Show Activities include: 50/50 Drawing and Raffles, Friday night Burger Burn, Ice Cream Social and Live DJ Playing the Oldies all weekend. There is going to be a huge arts and crafts show, vendors and food booths and a new car corral! This is going to be a GREAT weekend to spend in the wonderful White Mountains!

AMA LAKES, RIVERS & FISHING
BEAR CANYON LAKE
Popular 60 acre fishing and hiking spot.
Trophy size rainbow trout and German
brown trout. The lake is located 14
miles northwest of Highway 260. Open all year round.
BlG LAKE RECREATION AREA
23 miles south of Eager in the Apache-
Sitgreaves National Forest. Stocked
each spring and fall with trout. Store,
boat rentals and guided nature walks.
BLACK CANYON LAKE
Fishing and boating opportunities. 78
acres of excellent rainbow trout and
German brown trout. Located just
south of Highway 260 on Forest Road
86. Open April to November.
BLUE RIDGE RESERVOIR
70 acres of great fishing and boating in
the heart of the National Forest.
Accessed by Forest Road 751 off of
Highway 87. Open May to
September.
CHEVELON CANYON LAKE
Spectacular views and great opportunities
for hiking and fishing. 6 miles of
accessible shoreline. Rainbow and
German brown trout. Located on
Highway 260 approximately 30 miles
east of Payson to Forest Road 300, follow
Forest Road 300 for about 10 miles
to Forest Road 169, follow Forest Road
169 for 21 miles to Forest Road 169B.
CHRISTOPHER CREEK & TONTO CREEK
Located above Kohl's Ranch 20 miles
east of Payson on Hwy. 260. River
access beginning at Kohl's Ranch. It is
also stocked with trout.
EAST VERDE RIVER
Fly casting, trout, pan fish. Houston
Mesa Road approximately 2 miles north
of Payson on Hwy. 87. Turn right on
Houston Mesa Road. This road crosses
the East Verde River three times in the
next 8 miles. Fishing possible all along
the stream.
FLOWING SPRINGS
Approximately 4 miles north of Payson
on Hwy. 87. Turn right on Flowing
Springs Road. 2 miles to East Verde River. Parking turnouts and river access
for the next 2 miles.
FOOLS HOLLOW LAKE
150 acre lake with outstanding fishing
and hiking experience. Large and small
mouth bass, catfish, walleye, rainbow
and German brown trout. 4 miles off of
Highway 260 using Old Linden Road
and either 32nd St. or 22nd St. Open
all year round.
KNOLL LAKE
35 miles east of Payson on Hwy. 260 to
top of Rim. Turn left on the Rim Road
(Forest Road 300) approximately 20
miles to lake. Lake stoclied with trout.
SHOW LOW LAKE
The park covers cool wooded forest
land. Fishing for trout, walleye, bass
and catfish are the most popular activities
at the lake. There is a camp store
with boat rental. The park is located 6
miles south of Show Low off State
Route 260.
WILLOW SPRINGS LAKE
150 acre lake with outstanding hiking,
picnicking and fishing with a variety of
fish species. 22 miles southwest of
Heber on Highway 260 and Forest
Road 149. Open May to October.
WOODS CANYON LAKE
55 acre lake with a general store, boat
rentals and fishing. There are several
hiking trails, some of which are paved
and offer spectacular views on the top
of the Mogollon Rim. 22 miles outside
of Heber southwest on Highway 260.

CASA MALPAIS ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK

East on Highway 260 into Show Low,
turn left onto Highway 60, continue
until you hit fork in road. Take State
Route 61 through Concho until you
reach St. Johns. Take Interstate 180
south until you hit the park in
Springerville.
TALL TlMBERS HEBER/OVERGAARD PARK

This day use park has facilities for a
number of activities. These include picnicking,
racquetball, softball, basketball,
volleyball, horseshoes and shuffleboard.
Reservations can be made for group
picnics in the large pavilion. There is
also a playground area and an archery
range.
TONTO NATURAL BRIDGE STATE PARK
Fishing and boating opportunities. 78
acres of excellent rainbow trout and
German brown trout. Located just
south of Highway 260 on Forest Road
86. Open April to November.
AREA DESTINATIONS
JACQUES MARSH WILDLIFE REFUGE
130 acres of National Forest land,
including 7 ponds and 18 islands.
Located 2 miles north of Pinetop-
Lakeside.
LITTLE PAINTED DESERT

Colorful clay formations of red, violet,
green and gray, laid down by an ancient
ocean and carved by the wind, can be
enjoyed in the 660 acres. The panorama
can be viewed from the scenic overlook.
Facilities include picnic armadas
and a restroom at the park. The little
Painted Desert is 13 miles north of
Winslow and 1-40. Take Exit #257
and the parli is co~lve~lientlloyc ated less
than 1/4 mile from Highway 87, near
the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation.
MOGOLLON RIM DRIVE

Located atop the Mogollon Rim, this
popular drive runs along a 45 mile,
unpaved stretch of Forest Road 300.
From Payson, take Highway 260 east
and follow the signs. The Mogollon
Rim (pronounced "muggy-yon"), a
2,000 ft high cliff that provides dramatic
views, runs across central Arizona for
200 miles into New Mexico.
PETRIFIED FOREST
3 miles to June's Cafe in Heber, turn
right on Highway 277, 8 miles out turn
left onto Highway 377, come to a "T"
in the road and turn left into Holbrook
and get onto 1-40 and go about 20 miles.
RAVEN SITE RUIN
East on Highway 260 into Show Low,
turn left onto Highway 60 and
continue forward until you hit fork in
road. Take State Route 61 through
Concho until you reach St. Johns.
Take Interstate 180 south, about 15
miles from St. Johns.
RIM COUNTRY MUSEUM
